Discover Lidingö

What to do on Lidingö?

Millesgården

Visit the home of the world-renowned sculptor Carl Milles and his wife, the artist Olga. Millesgården is a unique environment with a sculpture park, an artist’s home, and an art hall with inspiring exhibitions.

Did you know that several of the most famous bronze sculptures in Sweden were made by Carl Milles, including Poseidon in Gothenburg.

Lidingö Museum

On the museum’s ground floor, there is a permanent exhibition about the development of Lidingö from 8000 BC to the present day. There is also a beautifully furnished turn-of-the-century room and a museum shop. On the upper floor, you will find the “Magdasalen” (Magda Hall), named after the textile artist Magda Svanbom (1911–1996), who depicted old Lidingö in many textile collages. As a guest at the hotel you receive free entrance to the museum, please ask for details in the reception.

SL (Stockholm Local Public Traffic) Ferry

Do your own sightseeing tour with SL ferry #80 to Nybroviken (New Bridge Bay).

Why not take the slow route to the city by taking the bus down to Delenium, then taking the boat through the inner archipelago straight to Nybroplan (close to Kungsträdgården, Djurgården, the Royal Palace, Gamla Stan, and Stureplan, to name a few places)?
